Our School Uniform

At Byron Primary School, we believe that wearing the correct school uniform is an important part of being ready to learn. Uniform helps to create a sense of belonging, encourages pride in our school and promotes equality for all pupils.

We have high expectations of our children and expect all pupils to wear their uniform smartly and take pride in representing our school. By working together, we can ensure that all children arrive at school feeling part of our community and ready to succeed.

Pupils should wear:

• White shirt or white polo shirt
• Dark trousers, skirt or shalwar kameez (black, navy or grey)
• Navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan with the Byron Primary School logo
• Plain dark socks or tights
• All black school shoes (plain black trainers are acceptable)
• School book bag
• Optional plain navy-blue hijab
• During the summer months, blue and white checked dresses may be worn

PE Uniform

For Physical Education lessons, pupils should wear:

• Pale blue polo shirt
• Dark shorts, jogging bottoms or leggings (black, navy or grey)
• Pumps or trainers
• PE kit stored in a drawstring bag

PE kits should be kept in school and taken home regularly for washing.

Purchasing Uniform

Branded uniform items can be purchased from the school office every Tuesday from 8:30am to 9:00am.

Labelling Clothing

Please ensure that all clothing, footwear and personal belongings are clearly labelled with your child's name. This helps us quickly return lost items to their owner.

Whilst we make every effort to reunite lost property with pupils, the school cannot accept responsibility for lost or misplaced items.
